Artist Statement

I make work about colour and the painted surface. My work is made from strips of painted canvas, that are placed in conversation with the ground.

I am interested in colour, it’s interaction, our perception of it and it’s phenomological nature. I am drawn to the sensitivity and subtlety that intentional colour relationships produce. This creates a small world. Within that small world a universe of incremental differences that are endlessly fascinating opens up.
